Well, it's been a difficult decision to buy this tile cutter. Was hesitating between chancing on a budget model or going for a more expensive pro stuff. This seems to be a good buy as I just need it to tile the kitchen and then it will probably be waiting for another project. So far I used it to cut ceramic tiles, haven't tried it with porcelain yet. I am impressed how smooth and precise the rails are. Cutting wheel goes in a straight line with little effort. Cuts are clean and precise. Other additions to the tile cutter are a little Mickey Mouse stuff... There are 2 clamps included that you are supposed to fit to the base with a 4 screws. Only 2 screws would fit the thread. I left clamps in the box and don't feel the need for them (I was cutting 900 mm tiles, by the way). Tile would sit nicely in place and rests on rubber padding with minimal slip if any. There is also a built in laser. The beam went about 5 degrees off square after I unpacked it, but it can be fine adjusted by the screw. I found it only useful as a general guide when placing tile on a base as the cutting wheel goes about 1mm off line anyway. I just check the cutting wheel matches the marks on tile at both ends before cutting every time. There is also some bracket in the box supposed to be fit to the tile cutter, but I just couldn't figure out what it's for and never attached it.This is not a pro model, but at this price it does a very good job.
