Lathe came packaged securely in a wooden box, delivery time was just few days by DHL. With all the additional stuff the box weighted about 100kg. Lathe was securely bolted inside and additional stuff was placed "in between" and could theoretically move inside the box a bit, but nothing was damaged in my case. The black steel quick change tool post in my picture is not part of the delivery. Included quick change holder is aluminum.
I would say be prepared for good few hours of work, stripping down, cleaning the dirty conservant oil and lubricating and adjusting of the lathe. Also most of the edges on the steel parts of the carriage is relatively sharp and could use few passes with sandpaper while you wiped the old oil and before you oil it with fresh one. Make sure you blow away any leftovers of sandpaper grains. User manual contains details of which parts should be lubricated, but thin film of oil shall be applied on all steel/cat iron parts which are not painted as well.
After it was clean, I proceeded to check the runout, which was about 0.15mm out of stock without any prior adjustment, so not great at all. The 3 jaw chuck does not seems to be the best of the best and will probably need some work. I proceeded to try the included 4 jaw self-centering one and that I managed to mount down to 0.02mm runout with some tapping and patience. I believe the 3 jaw-one will also do better if I would spend some time mounting it, but I kept the 4 jaw one on it. I also own an Vavor 125mm 4-jaw individuall adjustable chuck and that one will need some work as it has 4 mounting holes, while this lathe only have 3 120deg spaced holes on the spindle plate. I will need drill hole in 120deg triangular pattern into the 4 jaw chuck to fit, which seems easier task than modifying the spindle plate. There are also adapter plates available, but cost as much as the chuck itself, so.. Just be prepared that it does not fit out of the box.
This lathe is like rough gem, the base is solid, but needs some work and care and I was buying it with this expectation. Definitelly not disappointed. There are lot of videos on youtube with modifications for it, lot of them can be machined on the lathe itself, some needs milling machine, but you can do some basic straight milling on this lathe as well with vertically mounted machine wise.
Insert tooling that came with it is also nice and already tried turning some steel parts, so the lathe definitelly does not have problem with that.
All other accessories seems decent and everything is as in description apart from the calipers, they are digital ones, not analog as in the pictures.
I had some question for the support and they were friendly and very responsive. I am overall very happy with my purchase.
