The first WL330 lathe I received had a broken tailstock which didn't have tabs that dropped into the gap in the bed to make sure the tailstock was aligned with the headstock and centerline. Even when you tried to align it manually, the tailstock was still nearly 1/8" below the headstock (center to center) making it very difficult to turn anything. The second lathe I received has a tailstock that slots correctly into the bed and is also the same height off the bed as the headstock which allows it to work as expected.The manual isn't great, but you can find a better one if you go to grizzly dot com and look up the Shop Fox W1704 which appears to be the same lathe made in the same factory with upgraded locking handles and a different paint color scheme.Note that item 21 on the parts drawing and parts list (Small faceplate) is not included with the lathe. Also, the manual's instructions for setup require three bolts and washers of unknown size that screw up through a table top into the bottom of the lathe. These are not included with the lathe. The lathe is too heavy to take into the hardware store to figure out which metric bolts fit it, so I may have to buy one of each possible bolt just to find out what I need. If I remember, I'll update this once I figure it out.UPDATED: The bolts needed to fit the bottom of this lathe are metric, M8 x 1 (8mm diameter and 1mm per thread.)
